Employee wellbeing

Wellbeing is the way we think and feel about ourselves, our confidence, and our ability to control things in our life, both at home and at work.

At Zurich, we recognise that personal circumstances – and the demands and challenges we face balancing our home and working lives – can change over time. We have an integrated wellbeing plan that focuses on four core dimensions of wellbeing – physical, mental, social and financial.

We consider each one as equally important towards having a productive and fulfilling working life.

We also consider the same four dimensions in our approach to customer wellbeing.

What does this mean in practice?

There are various ways we support different areas of employee wellbeing. Examples include:

• Employee benefits that support physical wellbeing, such as gym memberships and free flu jabs
• Tools and guidance to help employees manage financial priorities
• Our employee assistance programme to support employees’ mental health
• Support networks (e.g. our cancer support groups) and flexible working opportunities to support social wellbeing
