Accounting apprenticeships

Our apprenticeships in accounting

As an insurer, we need to have the right funds in the right place to support our customers when they need us. Our finance teams ensure we manage our finances correctly, but they also carry out vital activities such as preparing accounts and financial statements, performing tax computations, and providing information and insights for our stakeholders. With an accounting apprenticeship, you'll have the opportunity to develop your career within a crucial part of our business.

As an accounting apprentice, you'll usually complete the Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship. With this, you'll get an Association of Accounting Technicians Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting.

If you have more experience, we also offer a Level 4 Professional Accounting qualification, which might suit you better.

Through our accounting apprenticeships, you’ll also:

  • Develop your understanding of transactional processes and the support provided by our accountancy and finance teams
  • Learn how to perform a ‘reconciliation’ and produce business reports
  • Build your knowledge of topics such as management accounting, tax processes for businesses, financial accounting, and bookkeeping
  • Enhance your communication skills and your ability to plan, prioritise, analyse and understand the wider professional landscape
