Our accounting internship programme
Both our 12-month and 10-week internship programmes will give you real responsibility from day one. You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of accounting related activities, which will help you build skills for your future career and to make an informed decision about a future career with Zurich.
You'll have a unique opportunity to work in a real-life business environment gaining invaluable knowledge, skills and experience as well as unrivalled exposure in how a leading multi-national insurance company operates.
What will I need to apply?
You must have the indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK. You must also be in your penultimate year of undergraduate study at university.
You’ll also need:
- Predicted 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in Accounting & Finance placement year degree or an Accounting & Finance degree at university.
- At least 96 UCAS points from 3 A-Level subjects (or equivalent).
- A minimum C/4 grade in both English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent).
What skills will I need?
You’ll need excellent numeracy and analytical skills, be able to draw conclusions from data analysis, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders. You'll also need excellent team-working skills and should be highly motivated and articulate. We’re looking for people who are enthusiastic to understand the area in which they are placed and our business.

As well as your departmental day-to-day activities, you’ll get the chance to work on important projects that make a real difference to our business and customers. These could include process transformation, providing financial support to the business or developing management information.

Where will I be based?
Depending on which team you join, you will be working in either our Whiteley or Swindon offices. We also offer flexible working which you can talk about with your manager.
