Our risk and compliance programme
As a risk and compliance apprentice, you'll be joining a team that's vital to our business. We're part of a highly regulated market, so you'll learn various legal and regulatory rules, help ensure we remain compliant, and provide support and advice to our business.
During your apprenticeship, you'll work towards a Level 3 Compliance and Risk Officer qualification. This includes an industry-recognised qualification via the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Is risk and compliance the same as a financial crime apprenticeship?
With a risk and compliance apprenticeship, you’ll build your knowledge in areas including financial crime, but also other areas such as conduct risks and data security.
You'll also develop:
- Problem-solving and analysis skills, by investigating issues and recommending solutions
- Communication and influencing skills, including via email, face-to-face, or over the phone
- An understanding of the financial services industry and the various legal and regulatory frameworks
- The ability to provide advice and support, in line with your developing expertise and knowledge
- Skills to identify areas of improvement within the business and take ownership of specific challenges that impact compliance and risk
- Awareness of how to keep up-to-date with changes in legal and regulatory areas
- Resilience and the ability to stay positive while under pressure.
How long will my risk and compliance apprenticeship last?
Between 24-30 months. Once you’ve completed your apprenticeship, you’ll remain a permanent member of the team.
