Our business management internship programme

Our 10-week business management internship programme will give you the chance to experience a variety of business opportunities, build skills for your future career and make an informed decision about a future career with Zurich.

You'll have a unique opportunity to work in a real-life business environment gaining invaluable knowledge, skills and experience. You’ll also get an unrivalled insight into how a leading multi-national insurance company operates.

What will I need to apply?

You must have the indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK. You must also be in your penultimate year of undergraduate study at university.

You’ll also need the following:

  • You must be in your penultimate year of study and on track to receive a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) form your bachelors or equivalent degree
  • A least 96 UCAS Points from 3 A Level subjects (or equivalent)
  • A*- C in Maths & English GCSE (or equivalent)

What skills will I need?

You'll need to have the drive and enthusiasm to develop an understanding of our business. Fantastic team working, communication, organisational and influencing skills are key, as is the desire to seize the initiative, have a mindset focused on continuous improvement, embrace new opportunities and be ready to step outside your comfort zone to deliver for our customers and colleagues.

What can I look forward to?

As a Business Intern you can expect a real role with real responsibility. This will give you a deep insight into our culture and how we serve our customers. You’ll be part of a dynamic organisation, using your skills in a fast-paced environment. On top of that, you’ll be working for an organisation which supports real people in their everyday lives, and more importantly protecting the things they love.

You'll also be part of a development programme that gives you important skills and knowledge to support and enhance your career. You'll get to work on a business project that will accelerate your learning and development.

Where will I be based?

Depending on the team you join, you'll work in one of these office locations: Glasgow, Birmingham, London, Fareham, Farnborough, or Swindon. Whilst we operate a hybrid working policy, office attendance expectations will be agreed with your manager, and you must be in within a commutable distance of the office workplace.
