About underwriting

When our customers want to start or renew a policy, our role as underwriters is to help evaluate the risks and exposures they may have.

We decide what terms and conditions we need to apply to our policies and what price to charge for those risks. We work with people inside and outside of our company to provide the right insurance solution for each customer.

At Zurich, we have underwriters in every part of our business, including: casualty, motor, property, engineering, marine, construction, financial lines, high-net worth, specialties, home and travel.
