Sustainable energy internship

We’re looking for bright, enthusiastic and ambitious interns to join our sustainable energy stream.

During a 10-week internship programme, you’ll develop valuable career skills, experience and knowledge working in a real-life business environment.

Our sustainable energy internship will also give you a taste of what life at Zurich could be like on our sustainable energy graduate programme. You’ll get to see how diversity and inclusion are baked into our business, evolving decision-making, driving innovative solutions and making us different from any other organisation.

Our new sustainable energy underwriting programme is making a difference to our global commercial customers in the energy sector. We’re supporting and encouraging them with their sustainable energy transition plans, while helping them to manage their risks and handling their claims.

What will I need to apply?

You must have the indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK. You must also be in your penultimate year of undergraduate study at university.

You’ll also need the following:

• Have a predicted minimum 2:1 degree
• At least 96 UCAS points – CCC grades (or equivalent) from 3 A-level subjects
• A* to C grade (9 to 4) in Maths and English GCSE
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What else can I look forward to?

You will join our energy underwriting team and develop expertise across the breadth of insurance – from understanding, assessing and reducing risk, to claims, pricing and insurance frameworks – all with a focus on sustainable energy. This will help you build a great foundation for your future career, as you’ll be adding value and making an impact from the beginning.

Where will I be based?

You will be based in our London office. We also offer flexible working, which you can discuss with your manager.
