Every family is unique. We all have different family situations and balancing our many responsibilities is important to all of us at Zurich.

Starting or extending your family is a big deal. There are so many things to think about, and we don't want employee leave entitlement to be one of them.

Zurich paternity leave, maternity leave and adoption policy

Our approach allows every parent to have the opportunity to spend quality time off with their new family from the point of birth or adoption. This means the same amount of paid time off for our employees regardless of gender, gender identity or sexual orientation.

Our company-enhanced elements of our maternity, paternity and adoption policies are equal. Everyone is entitled to 16 weeks’ full pay*.

Family-friendly is not just about family leave for parents. We know that each family situation is different. We also offer:

  • Additional leave for those whose babies are born prematurely/require neonatal care
  • IVF support
  • Miscarriage support
  • Bereavement and compassionate support
  • A supportive carers’ policy

As well as all this, we also support statutory shared parental leave and parental leave requests.
