This will depend on the scheme you choose. Some take around two years, while others last for three years.
No, you’ll need to decide on your single choice of scheme before you submit your application, so please take time to make sure you’ve chosen the one that is right for you.
Absolutely! This is a permanent job with Zurich and your graduate scheme is just the start of your career with us. We're committed to your ongoing development and you'll continue to have plenty of opportunities within Zurich.
Some of our graduate schemes include studying for an apprenticeship too (see job adverts for details). If this is the case, it will often involve attending workshops, completing assignments and spending time with your coach, who will help you collate evidence of your journey so far and put into practice all your new skills and knowledge. While the majority of your working week will be spent within your role, for those studying, around one day a week will be spent ‘off the job’ for these activities.
We've got your back and are here to help you kick-start your career. First, you'll have regular time with your line manager, who is there to help you flourish and grow. Your team are also there to support you every step of the way. You'll also have a buddy assigned to you, who has usually been on the graduate scheme in the past too. This gives them a great understanding of what it's like to be you and the questions you may have. You can also choose to have a mentor, coach or even an international buddy if you're keen to make connections globally.
We are an inclusive company, so if you need any reasonable adjustments during the application process, please let us know when you apply, and we can discuss this with you.

We have a friendly culture and there's plenty to get involved in. Our apprentices usually join together as one cohort each year, so you'll be part of a great community. We have a launch event where you can all meet and we take on group activities together such as our sustainability challenges and our fun escape room.
There's lots going on around the business and many people choose to join our employee resource groups, such as the Cultural Awareness Network, Zurich Pride UK, Accessibility & Inclusion Network and the Women's Innovation Network. We also take on a lot of charity challenges using our volunteer days, together with our charitable arm, Zurich Community Trust, who have been supporting the community and helping to improve the lives of vulnerable people since 1973.
