More than five million¹ people work whilst caring for an elderly relative. Studies show² that a majority of carers feel their caring responsibilities have had a detrimental impact on either their mental or physical health, or both.
Our Eldercare Support service, provided by Podplan, offers timely support and information for those who are caring for an elderly relative now, or who want to plan ahead for when they might be in the future.
Podplan is available to Zurich Corporate Risk customers with a Group Life Insurance or Group Income Protection policy.

- Information about financial support available, such as Carer's Allowance, State Pension and Attendance Allowance
- Easily locate experienced, self-employed carers nearby
- A content dashboard covering products, services and information that addresses common concerns and topics, such as key differences between care homes and nursing homes
- Information about will-writing and power of attorney, plus discounts available if these services are needed
- Information covering topics such as how to forecast costs, a quick care cost calculator, alternative funding options, local authority support and who pays for care services
- Tips on day-to-day challenges, such as managing medication, preventing trip hazards, or improving home safety for an elderly relative

- The option to coordinate care with others by sharing Podplan access with up to four other people
