Timely, expert support from our in-house rehabilitation specialists

With our integrated claims and rehabilitation model, one call to a dedicated case manager is all it takes for your clients to access timely rehabilitation support for their employees, who may be struggling in work (presenteeism) or absent from work due to a serious illness or injury. We're here to help them get back on track, quickly and safely. 

Our rehabilitation services – available to Zurich Corporate Risk customers with a Group Income Protection policy – are delivered by our in-house clinical team.

Rehabilitation services – key features

Our rehabilitation services are delivered by our in-house team of medically-qualified, experienced rehabilitation specialists. They include general nurses with comprehensive medical specialties, mental health nurses and physiotherapists. All our specialists have extended scope training to deliver optimal support for changing workplace and absence issues. 

  • Our fully-qualified, registered mental health nurses have experience in stress management, change management, managing difficult conversations, managing conflict, resilience and mediation
  • Our Rehab Access Clinic offers HR personnel exclusive direct access to our medically-qualified rehabilitation consultants, for any queries relating to employee health and wellbeing. Our clinic also provides tailored guidance and support, including about when to engage occupational health services
  • Our team offers presenteeism support and early intervention services where we work with individuals to help them return to good health and, where possible, prevent an absence from occurring – see our early intervention and claim notification guide
  • We offer return to work planning, including facilitating discussions and providing guidance regarding reasonable adjustments to an employee's hours, duties, or workplace - see our return to work guide
  • We also support employers as they manage employee absences, plus we focus on relapse prevention 
  • Zurich Cancer Support service ensures anyone affected by cancer receives tailored support and guidance from our experienced nurses, so they can focus on their treatment and recovery

In addition to these services, we also offer free online workshops for HR and people managers so they're better prepared to support their people. We share insights and practical tips on a wide range of topics, including relevant rehabilitation topics such as: 'Managing sickness absence'; 'When to engage occupational health'; 'Supporting female health conditions in the workplace'; and 'Managing back pain at work'.
