Our community investment

Investing in communities through the Zurich Community Trust (ZCT)

Through a range of partnerships, fundraising and volunteering programmes led by ZCT, we're helping to build a more inclusive and resilient society. Formed in 1973, ZCT is one of the longest-established corporate foundations in the UK. In that time we've awarded over £90 million to deserving causes across the UK.

We're proud to work with a huge variety of community partners. With funds, time and talent donated by Zurich employees, we address a diverse range of social issues to help bring about positive change. Every year we help to improve quality of life for more than 100,000 people.

  • Employees are able to donate monthly through their salary and are also given the opportunity to raise funds through various fundraising activities.
  • There are many ways employees are able to volunteer their time and skills. Our flagship volunteering programme, Challenge, brings together Zurich employees across the country to complete projects for local voluntary organisations or schools.
  • Our strategic funding partnerships with organisations such as Dementia UK, Barnardo's, and Magic Breakfast help amplify the incredible work they already do and provide a variety of opportunities for employee engagement.
  • Our education charity partner is Teach First and our objective, is to provide extra support to schools in order to increase social mobility for young people and help them achieve their aspirations.

Zurich's #My3Days policy allows all UK employees three days of leave each year for volunteering.
