New ownership of Navigators & General
Announcing the sale of Navigators & General (N&G) to Ardonagh Group
On 1 December 2024, Zurich sold Navigators & General (N&G) to Geo Underwriting Services Limited (Geo Underwriting) in respect of the N&G UK business, and Arachas Corporate Brokers Limited (trading as Arachas Capital Insurance Markets IM) (Arachas) in respect of the N&G EEA business. Both Geo Underwriting and Arachas are part of the Ardonagh Group.
The Navigators & General team, along with their industry knowledge and expertise, have now moved from Zurich to the Ardonagh Group. N&G is a well-respected brand with a fantastic heritage, supporting customers within the pleasure craft and marine trade industry for over 100 years. The sale will build on N&G’s rich foundation, adding investment and expertise to the N&G brand that will create new opportunities for existing and future customers.
Your current policy with Navigators & General (on behalf of Zurich) will remain in place until the policy expiry date. If you have a query, would like to amend this policy, or need to make a claim, please contact the Navigators & General team.
Important information regarding your Navigators & General policy
When can I expect my renewal?
Prior to your policy with Navigators & General (on behalf of Zurich) expiring, the new owners will be in touch to discuss your renewal. Navigators & General will continue offering renewals for UK business under Geo Underwriting, and Arachas will offer renewals for EEA business.
Notification: We will notify you or your broker ahead of your policy expiry date with details on the renewal process.
Renewals before December 1st 2024: All renewal quotes issued before this date will be honoured by Zurich and renewed as usual for another year. If we hold payment information for your customers’ Zurich policy, such as direct debit or card payment instructions, then your renewal will be automatic.
Renewals after December 1st 2024: Renewals will be managed by Geo Underwriting for UK business and Arachas for EEA business. Payment information will not be transferred, and new payment instructions will be set up by the Navigators & General team as part of the renewal process.
Policy verification: You can verify whether your policy falls under the UK or EEA business by checking the insurer's name on your policy documentation.
Online renewal payments
Payments made through the Zurich Navigators & General website before December 1st, 2024, will be honoured. For payments to be made after this date, please contact the Navigators & General team on 01273 863 400 for instructions.
Impact on Zurich Municipal customers
The sale only affects Navigators & General products. Other policies offered by Zurich Municipal remain unaffected.
