Provided by Health Hero, our ZGP24 services include a Virtual GP service - offering unlimited access to practising NHS GPs, an online physiotherapy service – for at home support from qualified clinicians, and a dietetics service offering direct access to qualified dietitians for practical, personalised nutrition advice.

If you are a Zurich Corporate Risk customer, this service offers you and your employees (and their family members and dependants living in the same household), easy access to appointments at a time and date that suits.

What does ZGP24 offer?

Virtual GP key features

Get fast, convenient access to support from a qualified GP, whenever it’s needed.

  • Book unlimited appointments at the touch of a button through the ZGP24 app or by calling the 24/7 customer service team
  • Appointments can provide advice, reassurance and (where appropriate) diagnosis from an experienced, practising NHS GP
  • Select a time and day that’s convenient
  • Choose a video or phone consultation
  • Choose a male or female doctor if there's preference
  • Arrange private prescriptions for collection from a pharmacy or chargeable delivery to any UK address
  • Arrange referral letters and fit notes, with no charge
  • A translation service is available in more than 200 languages
  • Get answers to any questions that might normally be asked to a GP

Where a dependant patient is under the age of 16, their parent/legal guardian must book their appointment and must also attend the consultation. 

Virtual GP case study: A 51-year-old woman with concerns about her medication

The situation

An employee was unsure how best to take her multiple medications, having been prescribed a second medication for an existing condition following an appointment with her own GP.

How the service helped

Unsure of what to do, but not wanting to trouble her NHS GP again so soon after her appointment, she used our Virtual GP service and within an hour, was able to discuss with a GP how best to take her different medication so that they worked safely and effectively together.

ZGP24 is an additional service available to all customers. The ZGP24 service is provided by HealthHero. The service is not a replacement for the employee’s own GP. Although most patients will receive advice, reassurance and where appropriate, diagnosis, from HealthHero’s own doctors, if their symptoms require a physical examination or a repeat prescription, they may be referred to their own GP. 

This service is not part of the insurance contract and is non-contractual. It is not provided by Zurich and can be amended or withdrawn at any time. This service is free to access.
