Dedicated Rehabilitation Case Manager (RCM)

You will have a Rehabilitation Case Manager dedicated to you. They are fully qualified to handle all aspects of your injury, including early intervention and rehabilitation activity.

Telephone Assessment

Your RCM will call you at a mutually agreed time to discuss how your injury or incident has affected not only your ability to work but also your everyday activities and overall health. This information helps your RCM create a personalised rehab plan, and if you are happy with it, we can start immediately.

If you need an interpreter, please let us know. We understand it can be difficult to discuss medical matters in a second language, so we can arrange for an interpreter to join the call.

The assessment should take around 30-40 minutes, but it may take longer for more complex injuries or if an interpreter is needed. If possible, try to find a private space for the phone assessment so you can speak freely about your injury and any medical history that might affect your recovery.

Consent

We need your approval through DocuSign, a legal requirement for healthcare professionals who wish to share medical information. For instance, if we need to refer you for private treatment. You have the ultimate decision regarding your medical information and can withdraw your approval at any time.

Monitoring NHS

If you are already receiving treatment from the NHS, going private may not be necessary at this time. In such cases, your RCM may recommend monitoring your progress. They will also provide ongoing support and advice until your NHS treatment is complete or there is a change in your NHS care team.

Referrals

If your RCM decides you need more tests or treatment and there is a long wait with the NHS, we may be able to refer you to a private option. While we do not offer private medical insurance, we will try to find funding for referrals if it will help you recover faster and achieve the desired outcome from your rehab programme.
