Our injury rehabilitation service

If you’re recovering from a workplace incident, it’s understandable you may have concerns about how quickly things will get back to normal and what kind of support you’ll need along the way.

The Zurich Rehabilitation Team can offer a range of practical support to aid your recovery and support your safe return to work.

What the service includes

A dedicated rehabilitation case manager

Your case manager will handle all aspects of your rehabilitation.

Telephone assessment

You'll receive a telephone or video assessment during business hours so we can develop a proactive rehabilitation plan.

Digital consent

You can provide your consent to the rehabilitation plan digitally, making it easier and quicker for you to access treatment.

Clinical expertise

We’ll treat you as an individual. Our rehabilitation team is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome for every person who uses the service.

Diagnostic investigations

If you need diagnostic imaging, we can arrange for you to be seen by a qualified clinician at a location convenient to you.

Consultations and surgery

We may be able to provide access to private care, covering the cost of treatment, where applicable.

Return-to-work planning

We can facilitate discussions with your manager, HR, and occupational health teams about making fair adjustments to your work hours, tasks or location.

Interpretation services

If English isn't your first language, we’ll select interpreters who are experts in medical topics to assist you.

Mental health support

We provide comprehensive support, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), psychological first aid, and a trauma-focussed helpline.

Physiotherapy

We offer a combination of face-to-face and digital health services, including virtual consultations, so you'll have more choice about how you access physiotherapy.

Musculoskeletal injuries

We offer comprehensive support through a combination of expert advice and education, self-managed or physiotherapy-supported exercise programs, and the latest in digital physical therapy (see SWORD Health).

Hand therapy

Our registered hand therapists, accredited by the British Association of Hand Therapists, are experts in assessing and treating hand and upper limb conditions.

Zurich Support Services

Zurich Support Services offers access to help and support across a wide range of health and wellbeing issues, from legal and financial services to bereavement and emotional support.

SWORD Health

With a digital physiotherapy programme from SWORD Health, you’ll meet with a physiotherapist, who will prescribe a personalised exercise programme you can complete from the comfort of your own home. You’ll be given a medical device to use, which can give you and your therapist real-team feedback during your exercise sessions.

Important information about treatment and referrals

If there are any changes to your injury or health, please inform us immediately. We may need to reassess your rehabilitation goals and plan.

Cancellations

If you can't make it to an appointment, please cancel as soon as you know. If it's less than 24 hours' notice, we'll still need to pay for it.

Clinical letters and test results

If you have any clinic letters or test results, please email them to us at:

NHS care

It's vital that you see your GP promptly to obtain any necessary NHS referrals. After that, we’ll work on the quickest way to arrange your treatment.

You can find useful information about your NHS at

We may need you to contact your NHS team and, if possible, join a short-notice availability list to expedite your appointment. Even if we've arranged private treatment for you, please do not cancel any NHS appointments unless advised by us. This is because some services are not available privately, and we need to coordinate with the NHS.
