Zurich Engineering is committed to delivering the highest standards of service and safety. On this page, you can find out about our engineering accreditations and membership of professional bodies.

SAFed

Zurich Engineering is a member of the Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed), which represents the UK independent engineering inspection industry.

All our engineer surveyors hold a SAFed Health and Safety passport. The SAFed scheme takes account of the unique, specialist activities that engineer surveyors undertake, and provides individuals with the health and safety knowledge and awareness required to ensure that their examination and/or assessment activities are undertaken safely.

UKAS

Our inspection and technical certification activities are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS).

UKAS is the sole national accreditation body recognised by the government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.

Zurich Engineering is a UKAS accredited inspection body No. 0006 and also a UKAS accredited certification body No.5911.

Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates the competence, impartiality and performance capability of our evaluations.

In addition, we are assessed by UKAS for our approved body appointments under the Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

NQA

NQA is one of the UK's largest and longest established certification bodies. NQA provides certification and assessment services and related training to a wide range of manufacturing, commercial and service sectors.

Zurich has obtained NQA certification against provisions of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015 for inspection services.
