Employers join forces with government to tackle ill-health

The Sir Charlie Mayfield Report ‘Keeping Britain Working’ has been making news, and Zurich is proud to be one of the employers supporting its vision.

Peter Hamilton, head of market engagement for Zurich UK says the Mayfield report paves the way for fundamental changes in workplace health, particularly when it comes to dealing with mental health.

Head of Zurich Corporate Risk retires

Cindy Warden says:

"As you may have heard, I’m retiring at the end of this month, and I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to you all for your support throughout my time at Zurich Corporate Risk. I feel incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished together.

My departure means that from 1 January, James Tait will be taking over the role as the new Head of ZCR. James brings with him a wealth of insurance market experience and I know I am leaving the ZCR team in very capable hands. I wish you every success for the future."

Our 2026 webinar calendars are now live

Registering for our workshops is easy. We’ve created calendars aimed at HR and people managers as well as a calendar aimed at employees. Your clients can access the calendars in the linked below where they can register for as many sessions as they wish.

Whether they’re thinking about electing cover under their employer’s policy for the first time, changing an existing election, or considering a claim, our experienced team is ready to answer their questions and support them every step of the way.

Zurich Group Critical Illness product update

As part of our post launch review we have made some enhancements that ensure we continue to provide a market leading GCI proposition. Some of these include:

  • Multiple claims now allowable for Spouses/Partners and Children
  • Inclusion of being on the ‘NHS waiting list’ for certain Critical Illness conditions
  • Change of Critical Illness heading : ‘Open Heart Surgery’ to ‘Heart Surgery’
  • Change in wording to certain Critical Illness conditions

Exciting enhancements to the Zurich Access Portal

We’re delighted to share some recent updates to the Zurich Access Portal. These enhancements are designed to make it even easier for you to do business with us online, including Category, Disclosure and Minimum lives updates.

Plus, you can now access most of your clients’ documents through the Zurich Access Portal and take certain actions like request scheme histories or submit claims referrals - whether they’re administered via the portal or not.
