Safer Schools digital safeguarding ecosystem
Welcome to Safer Schools, an award-winning digital safeguarding ecosystem designed to educate, empower and help protect your school from safeguarding risk, available at no extra cost to school and local authority customers that have their insurance programme with Zurich Municipal.
Developed in partnership with online safety experts, Ineqe Safeguarding Group, Safer Schools provides a wide range of support and resources for teachers, parents, carers, students and safeguarding professionals.
Safer Schools app
A customised version of Ineqe Safeguarding Group's online safety app for your school, with alerts and news sent directly to your devices. The app is also intelligent by design and can recognise when somebody might be in need of help and support. For example, if a user is repeatedly visiting content within the app about a particular safeguarding issue, the app will prompt them with safety messages and signpost them to relevant guidance.
The Safer Schools app can be customised to your school, including:

- Integration of your school news, calendar, policies and social media channels

- Group messaging

- Absence reporting
- Staff professional development courses
Resources
Safer Schools provides a range of educational resources tailored for both school staff and parents/carers, through our Teach Hub and Home Learning Hub. These include lesson plans, crib notes, PowerPoint presentations, animations, activity sheets and shareables, relating to topics such as:

Training
After registering for Safer Schools, customers can access live online safeguarding training webinars. These webinars provide practical training for staff in a wide range of CPD-certified safeguarding courses. Webinar topics include:

- Digital collateral
- Safeguarding Level 1
iAcademy
CPD-certified safeguarding training courses are also available, at no additional cost, through iAcademy online e-learning platform. iAcademy courses include:
- Safeguarding Level 1 and 3
- Appropriate use of social media
- Mental health awareness
- Female genital mutilation (FGM)
- Youth-produced imagery
- Private fostering
- Teacher-targeted bullying

Cyber security - Advice, training and alerts on cyber security threats, risks and trends, such as phishing, scams and impersonation attempts.
iSAT - The Ineqe Self Assessment Tool is designed to help you ensure your school continues to meet the highest safeguarding standards. iSAT can assign tasks to team members, set reminders, track progress and outcomes, produce reports as evidence for inspectors, and more.
Reputation management - A service to help you maintain oversight of your school’s online reputation, using advanced social listening tools to track and monitor online activity in real-time.
