Zurich Municipal, a leading insurer for the public and not-for-profit sectors today announces the return of its Diversity & Inclusion Awards for charities for a second year.
Specifically for small charities, the 2025 “Diversity & Inclusion Awards” celebrate initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within their communities.
This year prizes will be awarded to charities with annual incomes of up to £100,000, which represent more than 80% of all charities in the UK1.
The awards are presented in collaboration with the Z Zurich Foundation, a charitable organization funded by members of the Zurich Insurance Group.
Last year’s winners, Spark Inside, won for a coaching programme focused on supporting Black and mixed heritage men in prison with their rehabilitation, both while in custody and after release. There was also recognition for a birth partner project, supporting women who would otherwise face birth alone, and a befriending scheme connecting young people with elderly residents.
Yvonne Moore, Head of Underwriting for Zurich Municipal and member of the Zurich UK Diversity & Inclusion Council, said: “I’m so pleased to see our Diversity and Inclusion awards back for a second year. Charitable organisations play a crucial role in shaping our society and, when it comes to ensuring everyone feels valued and included, it’s often dedicated people working within their communities who can make the biggest difference.
“We saw hundreds of inspiring entries in 2024 and I’m looking forward to reading through many more this year. I’d encourage small charities to use this opportunity to share their stories and showcase how they’re promoting representation and a sense of belonging to help create a more inclusive world.”
Competition closed 30th September 2025. Visit our Diversity and Inclusion awards page for updates on the winners.
