Are there any D&O Claims outside the United States?

There are a vast number of publications about Securities Claims, particularly US Securities Claims, that are widely available to the public. However, there is still very little information regarding other D&O (Directors and Officers) Liability claims.
US Securities Claims and Derivative Actions, with their eye-watering settlements, understandably attract a lot of attention. The fact that these claims are widely reported in the public domain also helps to disseminate information. This focus on US Securities Class actions coupled with a lack of data regarding claims outside of the US, provides a false narrative that there are not many significant claims elsewhere.
The purpose of this report is to provide statistics around our UK D&O historical losses, commentary around the non-US losses experienced by us so far and to share recent claims trends.
