Zurich UK appoints David Nichols as UK Head of Retail

Zurich UK today announces the appointment of David Nichols as UK Head of Retail, effective from 1 January 2023. David, currently UK Chief Claims Officer, has more than 18 years’ experience at Zurich, where he has held several senior leadership roles in claims, underwriting and operations.

David Nichols, said:

David has more than two decades’ experience in the insurance industry, spanning both personal and commercial lines. He joined Zurich in 2004 as Head of Small Business for Commercial Insurance. David has since held a variety of senior roles at the company, including Director of Technical Operations for General Insurance, Customer Operations Director for the then Zurich-owned Endsleigh, and Head of Personal Lines.
In 2016, David was appointed UK Chief Operating Officer before taking on his current role as Chief Claims Officer in 2017. Prior to joining Zurich, David spent time at Aviva across a number of different roles.
The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
