Zurich launches new broker proposition
02 May 2023
Zurich Club Blue goes the extra mile to futureproof brokers, offering support with D&I, charity engagement, apprenticeships, and sustainability.
Today, Zurich UK has launched their new broker club, ‘Zurich Club Blue’. The proposition is designed to support independent regional broker trading relationships with Zurich by supporting their businesses and people. The bespoke content will be split across three key areas: futureproofing, professional development, and ease to trade.
Helping to futureproof our broker partners
Following the launch of one of the industry’s best ‘family friendly’ propositions over the past three years, Zurich’s specialists will share best practice and expertise with broker partners on key D&I initiatives to help futureproof their businesses. This ranges from the benefits of advertising all roles on a part time, flexible working or job share basis right through to equal paternity leave and menopause policies. Other initiatives will have a focus on sustainability and supporting local communities through charity engagement giving brokers the opportunity to volunteer with Zurich partners.
When it comes to attracting and retaining talent, Zurich uses 80% of its apprenticeship levy each year compared to just 44% on average across other businesses in the UK. These insights will be shared with brokers to help them attract new talent and create a sustainable workforce.
Professional Development
For rising talent, brokers can also access the Rising Broker Network to help develop talent within the industry, providing networking opportunities and training. For those established in their careers, mentoring and coaching will be available to nurture leadership skills.
Ease to Trade
Zurich recognises the importance of dedicated relationships with regional support and local expertise which allows the insurer to be responsive to the needs of brokers. Zurich Club Blue will build on the brand’s ongoing strategy which is focused on delivering great service to brokers and end customers.
The new service also includes monthly business development webinars which offer insights on the most challenging industry issues as they emerge. Our broker partners will also receive insights from Zurich Resilience Solutions around emerging risks from our in-house experts.
David Nichols, Head of Retail Zurich UK comments: “As both sector and industry experts, we want to offer our brokers so much more than ‘just insurance’. We are all facing the same challenges whether that be making our organisations more sustainable, supporting local charities, or creating a sustainable workforce. We have so much value we can add to our customer’s businesses, Zurich Club Blue is a great way to share this expertise.”
Michelle Taylor, Head of Sales and Distribution UK comments: “Brokers are at the heart of our industry. In a world of consolidation, we need to recognise those who want to remain independent and offer them the support they need. Our new proposition will help them to grow, get to know us better and make them feel part of our community. The beauty of Zurich Club Blue is our ability to offer a bespoke proposition based on the broker characteristics and aspirations.”
