Just one year on from the launch of Zurich Club Blue and already over 100 brokers have attended 3,000 hours of webinars, covering a range of topics from cyber, escape of water right through to the war for talent and D&I. In total, club members have benefitted from 700 hours of training and development and a further 100 broker employees have received funding for CII qualifications.
Several new initiatives have been added since launch, most recently the Women in Insurance programme. Some 30 women have been nominated by their employers to join the group, benefitting from a range of topics such as allyship and microaggressions in the workplace. A further 60 brokers have accessed the recently added Zurich Support Services through Club Blue, which provides a wide range of free services including counselling sessions and emotional support during stressful times.
For rising talent, 50 brokers have joined the Rising Broker Network to help develop talent within the industry, providing networking opportunities and training. A further 42 partners have signed up to the future leader’s development programme.
What’s next for Club Blue?
Zurich is working with specialist partners to offer more face-to-face training programmes on topics brokers care about. This includes the introduction of regional trading forums which give brokers the chance to meet and share feedback with our senior leadership teams.
The proposition is designed to bolster independent regional broker trading relationships by supporting their businesses and people. The content is split across three key areas: futureproofing, professional development, and ease of trade.
Georgina Davis, Head of Distribution, said: “We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in the first year and we are constantly evolving our proposition in line with what our partners need from us. It’s all about getting closer to our brokers, and it keeps getting stronger. We’ve had some great feedback in the first year, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what the next 12 months brings.”
