Zurich is delighted to announce that from the 1 January 2023, Frank Streidl, UK Head of Energy, Marine and Construction, will take up the role of Head of Commercial Insurance in the UK. Frank joined Zurich in 2010 and has held a number of senior roles including Head of Energy EMEA and Global Head of Upstream Energy. His appointment is another great example of internal talent progression.
Prior to his current role at Zurich, Frank was located in Germany working as a Financial Services Consultant with Accenture and an Energy Underwriter with Hannover Rück.
As previously communicated to the market, the current Head of Commercial Insurance in the UK, Rob Kuchinski, will be retiring from his role at Zurich at the end of year. Rob joined the business in February 2017 as the Global Head of Property, Energy and Construction. In 2019, he was appointed into his current role whilst also retaining the Global Energy role.
Frank Streidl, Head of Energy Marine and Construction comments:
“I’m very proud to have the opportunity to lead such a talented group of people. In the last few years, we’ve successfully rebalanced our portfolio. I’m really looking forward to leading the commercial insurance team through the next stages of our strategy and joining the UK Executive Committee.”
Tim Bailey, UK CEO comments:
“It’s with a heavy heart we say goodbye to Rob, as he returns to the US to be with his family and enjoy his retirement. Rob has played an instrumental role in making our commercial insurance business the success it is today.
“Zurich has an abundance of very talented individuals, one of whom is Frank and I am delighted he is joining our Executive Committee to help us take the business to the next level. Rob is leaving the commercial insurance business in an extremely safe pair of hands, and I look forward to working with Frank.”
Sierra Signorelli, CEO Commercial Insurance Zurich:
‘’I am personally grateful for all that Rob has contributed to Zurich over his tenure. He has helped us to build a stronger business both in his group role and in the UK business. His commitment and passion will be missed. I am pleased that in Frank we are fortunate to have a strong and capable successor ready to lead one of our most important commercial insurance markets through a seamless transition.
Frank’s new role will take effect 1 January 2023, subject to regulatory approval.
