Zurich has added 50 new online retailer trades to the insurers online Commercial Combined Insurance (CCI) online platform for SMEs. The product expansion is based on customer feedback which highlighted that many startups were looking for a liability only option.

Whilst the insurers Commercial Combined platform already offers a full range of covers, the new proposition expansion provides cover for public and product liability alongside employer’s liability.

Through expansion, online retailers may need to add additional insurance cover such as Stock, Business Interruption, Buildings Premises and Goods in Transit. These are now all covered in the Commercial Combined Insurance (CCI) proposition, which is traded through brokers using the Zurich Online CCI platform.

Nikki Lidster, Head of SME at Zurich comments: “We are focused on analysing every piece of broker feedback to make sure we’re listening and acting on our customer insights. Today’s changes are testament to this and show that this feedback is also part of our business development plans. We’ve broadened our coverage to include SME online retailers - this demonstrates our proactive approach in adapting to the evolving SME landscape and meeting our customers changing needs.”
