Zurich UK today announces the appointment of Asha Kumar as Chief Technology Officer (subject to regulatory approval) when she will also join the UK Executive Committee in October. This is a newly created role for the insurer and is testament to the firm’s commitment to leading the charge in AI and Technology.
Awarded CIO of the year in 2023, Asha has held several senior roles at HSBC over the past nine years. Most recently Managing Director of the Chief Information Office for UK Retail, Wealth and Private Banking, she has successfully led the bank’s digital transformation. Asha has previously worked with RBS, BT, Barclays and British Gas in customer-focused IT and change delivery roles.
