In 2013, we invested an additional £350,000 to support fundraising activity for Breaking the Cycle, a longitudinal survey to evaluate the success of our work and to provide external City & Guilds qualifications for 40 Addaction family workers.   These workers have now all successfully qualified.

The ongoing focus is to continue to expand the influence of Breaking the Cycle through replication of the 'model' and by training Addaction workers in the Breaking the Cycle holistic approach.

The findings of the longitudinal survey were extremely positive.

Next steps

Our aim is to use the findings of the two external evaluations to shape governmental policy and to influence local commissioners to invest in Breaking the Cycle.
