Ronald McDonald House Birmingham

What's the challenge?

Ronald McDonald House provides free unlimited home form home accommodation for families so they can be close to each other whilst their children are in Birmingham children's hospital.

They need a team to decorate a family floor and make it all festive for the families staying with them. They would also love lots of wrapped Christmas presents delivered to the house so the children have something to unwrap on Christmas morning (60 families and up to 120 children). There will be families coming in and out from time to time so you'll get to meet some of the service users and hear how much Ronald MacDonald House means to them. This can be split into 2 teams, 1 to decorate and 1 to source the presents.

Free Radio Cash For Kids

What's the challenge?

There are thousands of children across the local area who are finding life tough. They could be living in poverty, with an illness or disability or be subject to neglect or abuse. Free Radio's Cash for Kids want to make a difference to the lives of these children, so that's exactly why they created 'Mission Christmas'.

'Mission Christmas' needs you! Birmingham Free Radio ask their listeners to buy an extra Christmas present for those children who'd otherwise wake up with nothing on December 25th. Their listeners are extremely generous and donate thousands of presents, but they always seem to struggle with presents for two age groups; the 0-5s and the 12-18s. Can you and your team fill the void and raise some money to buy presents for these ages at Christmas time? Last year they helped 4,910 children in the area & they anticipate that figure will be even bigger this year!
