1006 It's Party time

Challenge group size: M

Birmingham Settlement

What's the challenge?

Birmingham Settlement is one of Birmingham’s oldest charities. For over 100 years they have helped people overcome life’s challenges, giving advice, support and access to activities and training to help them achieve their goals and live happier lives. This challenge will be based at their main hub in Aston.

In December, Birmingham Settlement will be hosting a Christmas Party for the whole community in and around Aston. In the past they have done Christmas parties for their different services, however, this year they would like to bring them together for one big party. The event will be held in December (date tbc) and will last 3-4 hours over a lunch time. The party will be a chance for everyone to celebrate the festive period, get together and have some fun. They would love a team of volunteers to support them on the day by assisting on the welcome desk, serving food (buffet style) and drinks, hosting the party, gathering feedback from clients and clearing up after the event. If some of the team are available beforehand (the day before for a couple of hours) then some help setting up and decorating would be a great help to the charity.
