Where we fund in the UK
Zurich Community Trust has a dynamic grant-making programme which supports national, overseas, regional and local charities. Since our inception in 1973, to date the Trust has given support worth over £66 million in grants to causes the length and breadth of the UK and overseas. Through the full range of our grant-making and community involvement programmes, we are able to improve the quality of life of over 100,000 disadvantaged people every year.
We support a large number of local community and voluntary organisations that are close to Zurich's offices around the UK. Some of the offices have an open application process whereas others just work in partnership with a small number of local organisations, and in these instances there is no open application process.
How to apply for a local grant from Zurich Community Trust
Please click here or to the left to find out more and to check if your organisation fits our funding criteria. You will find the link to the on-line application form on the relevant location page.
Type of grants we give and for how long:
- Grants are normally one off and for specific running costs such as salaries, purchases or project costs
- In addition to this local grant programme, we have long term partnerships with national partners which are chosen by our employees.
How long will the process take and how would the grant be paid?
This will vary for office location depending on how established the local grant committee is and the budget they have to commit each year. Please check this when you contact the local Programme Manager in your area.
Each application will be acknowledged and will contact you if we require further information or wish to visit the project. When a decision has been made we will contact you to let you know - and if any conditions will need to be met - before the grant is paid.
