172  Step up to the Challenge

Challenge group size: F

Step by Step

What's the challenge?

Step by Step’s mission is to empower young people and prevent homelessness. They passionately believe in supporting young people aged 11 to 25, who are going through hard times, including homelessness.

Website

They challenge a team to take on a fundraising event for Step by Step. This could be setting up a quiz night, holding a bucket collection, running a cake stall or anything else that takes your fancy! You will be given full support from their community fundraiser. The more money raised, the more young people will be helped.

173  Emergency Care Package

Challenge group size: F

CLIC Sargent

What's the challenge?

When cancer strikes young lives, CLIC Sargent helps families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health. They will fight tirelessly for children and young people with cancer, often when they feel they can’t. They do this individually, locally and nationally, so that they can focus on the important things, like getting well.

Website

CLIC Sargent challenge you to collect items to create 5 emergency care packages which can go into the Southampton Home from Home. You will be provided with a list of suggested items, which will include everyday items such as toiletries, tea and coffee and not forgetting the biscuits.

Challenge group size: F

Phyllis Tuckwell

What's the challenge?

Phyllis Tuckwell is the only hospice care service for adult patients, and their families, living with cancer or another terminal illness (such as heart, lung or neurological disease) across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire.

Website

They challenge a team to sort stock at their Camberley shop. The day will begin with an overview of the charity and a briefing on what to do during the day. The stock sorting takes place in a large room above the shop - who knows, you may uncover some hidden gems such as a Chanel handbag, a rare vinyl record or a first edition Dickens!
