How much might I get?

Make yourself comfortable, give us a few details and let the Zurich Retirement Planner:

  • work out how much your retirement savings might be worth when you retire*
  • compare the different retirement options

* The Zurich Retirement Planner is provided by Zurich Assurance Ltd. It is designed to let you compare the different options – it does not provide advice and you should treat it as a guide. What pension you receive in reality could be more or less than the figures provided. We recommend you speak to a financial adviser before you make any financial decisions.

Before you start

It would help to gather the following information:

  • Your current yearly income (your employer may call this your 'pensionable salary')
  • The current value of any Zurich or other retirement savings plans excluding any final salary pension schemes
  • The amount of any payments you or your employer are making

The Zurich Retirement Planner:

Provides you with an estimate of what your retirement savings might be worth

The value of your retirement savings is not guaranteed. It depends on several factors including when you actually retire, investment performance, charges and the amount paid in. When you do take your retirement savings, if the actual value has gone down and is less than the amount shown by the Zurich Retirement Planner, the amount you would receive will be reduced.

Is not suitable if your retirement savings are in a final salary pension scheme

If some or all of your retirement savings are in a final salary scheme (sometimes called a defined benefit pension), or public sector scheme, then you'll need to speak to your employer to find out about your retirement options.

Doesn't take into account any state pension entitlement

Assumes investment funds and their charges

The funds you invest in and the charges that apply may differ from the assumptions made by the Zurich Retirement Planner. Please see the "Full range of assumptions" below for further details.

May not be suitable if you are no longer resident in the UK

This is because you will also need to consider the tax rules of your country of residence. Speak to a financial adviser to understand the options available to you.

If you don't currently have a financial adviser, you can find one near you at unbiased.co.uk and vouchedfor.co.uk where you can also read reviews.
