In this session we identified the different types of conflict often found in the workplace. We discussed the impacts it can have on employees and the best ways to deal with it.

In this session, we discussed how Multiple Sclerosis is diagnosed, some of the ways in which it can affect those with the condition and ultimately, how it can be managed in the work place.

In this session we discussed how management styles can be adjusted in order to meet the differing expectations and requirements of the diverse generations that are found within the average workplace today.

Managing carer absences

In this session, we discussed the mental and physical impact being a carer can have. We also talked about the different ways line managers can support affected employees, to help them remain in work and/or decide when its time to make a claim. We were joined by, Susan Rowland, a HR and Employee Relations specialist, who gave us her perspective on this topic from a HR point of view.

Managing chronic pain

In this session, we discussed the need to focus on both the psychological, as well as the physical effects, chronic pain can have on an individual. We also talked about pain management programmes and how an employer can help to successfully manage an employee's return to work.  And we were joined, Dr Peter Evans, who gave us his perspective  on this topic as a pain consultant

Understanding Presenteeism

In this session our panel of experts explain what we know about Presenteeism and share some ways to help identify this invisible absence. And our special guest Dr Rob Rosa, shares his thoughts on this topic from a GP's perspective

In this session our panel of experts discussed the psychological impact and the effects cancer treatment can have on employees. And our special guest, Dr Peter O'Connell -Zurich CMO, explored this topic from an occupational health point of view.
