Zurich launches new protection statements reminding customers of vital cover

Leading insurer, Zurich has launched its annual protection statements for customers of its Life Protection Platform launched last year.   Zurich has been issuing annual statements for over 15 years, reminding customers of the value of their cover and extra support available through their policies.  

The new statements flag any action needed by customers to retain their chosen level of cover while replaying what they already have in place including whether or not their policy is in trust.  A new section on policy changes that can be made, sets out additional benefits customers did not take at application stage, which they may now may want to add.  This includes changing the policy term in light of changes to retirement age, or perhaps adding children’s or fracture cover without having to start a new policy.  Likewise, customers can also remove features as their needs change. 

Other statement features include: 
  • Full list of other benefits available
  • A reminder to customers to get in touch if they’ve stopped smoking as this may reduce their premiums
  • Information and support on arranging a Lasting Power of Attorney in the event of customers becoming ill and unable to make financial decisions
  • Information about how to log onto the LPP customer portal
  • Support with finding an adviser
Statements are available in customers’ preferred format – as well as in larger print, braille or audio for those with additional needs.
