Starting or extending your family is a big deal. There are so many things to think about when welcoming a little (or not so little) one into your life. At Zurich, we don’t want our employees’ entitlement to leave and benefits to be one of them.
Our approach allows every parent to have the opportunity to spend quality time off with their new family from the point of birth or adoption. This means the same amount of paid time off for our employees regardless of gender, gender identity and sexual orientation.
Our company enhanced elements of our maternity, paternity and adoption policies are equal. Everyone is entitled to 16 weeks’ full pay*.
Family Friendly is not just about family leave for parents. We know that each family situation is different. We also offer:
- additional leave for those whose babies are born prematurely
- IVF support
- miscarriage support
- bereavement and compassionate support
- a supportive carers' policy
In addition to the above, we also support statutory shared parental leave and parental leave requests.
* Up to 16 weeks' full pay applies for maternity, paternity and adoption leave, after 26 weeks' employment. Statutory elements continue to apply.
