Mechanical engineering internship

Our engineering inspection business in the UK provides statutory periodical inspections of lifting, boiler and pressure, power press, LEV, electrical and other work equipment. We provide an essential aspect of ensuring the safety of plant and machinery. Our market-leading technical expertise, dedication to understanding our customers’ business and use of the latest technology means our customers can trust us to get it right every time, cost effectively and efficiently.

As a result of our high quality service standards, we have attracted many new customers and this has resulted in growth in our engineer surveyor workforce from under 400 engineer surveyors in 1999 to over 500 engineer surveyors in 2014.

We’re offering a paid Internship across the summer of 2015 working within our award winning team. We’ll support you and aim to give you as much exposure as we can to the workings of this part of the business and we’ll be hoping in return for your energy, drive and motivation to add value to our Engineering team.

A structured support network will provide you with a safe environment to learn and be challenged, while delivering and working on projects that actually add value to the business.

From day one, you’ll be assigned to our engineering practice team in our Birmingham office and will be accompanying and supporting senior engineers and surveyors on site as well as applying engineering principles and practices to assigned projects. Frequent travel is expected and may be on a national basis.

To join us you will need to hold at least 280 UCAS points across three subjects, be on track for a 2.1 or above in a mechanical discipline, and be in the penultimate year of your studies.

We’re looking for future leaders and hope that if you perform well during the Internship and demonstrate the qualities that Zurich holds dear you may well be offered the chance to join us permanently on our graduate scheme.

We look forward to hearing from you!

How do I apply?
