Across Zurich we are keen to recruit talented individuals with high potential and we recognise internships are an excellent way to spot new talent and provide you with real responsibility from day one.
Our 10-week internship programme will give you the opportunity to experience a variety of opportunities, which will help you build career enhancing skills and enable you to make an informed decision about a future career with Zurich. You will have a unique opportunity to work in a real-life business environment gaining invaluable knowledge, skills and experience as well as unrivalled exposure to how a leading multi-national insurance company operates.
You are only eligible to submit one application, so if you are interested in more than one intern programme, please contact us to talk this through before applying.
As a Business Intern you can expect a real role with real responsibility whilst gaining a strong understanding of our culture and how we deliver to our customers. You’ll be part of a dynamic industry, utilising your skills in a highly-energetic market in a fast-paced environment. On top of that, you’ll be working for a company which supports real people in their everyday lives, and more importantly protecting the things they love.
What skills will I need?
You will need to have the drive and enthusiasm to develop an understanding of the business area in which you’ll be placed and our business as a whole. Fantastic team-working, communication, organisational and influencing skills will be key, as is the desire to seize the initiative, embrace new opportunities and to help make our business the best it can be.
What will I be doing?
Throughout your internship you will have the opportunity to learn about the business and as a taster you could find yourself getting to grips with the complexity of claims, learning about underwriting and developing relationships with our customers and brokers, influencing the strategic marketing agenda or supporting the communication team.
What can I look forward to?
As a Business Intern you will have the opportunity to develop while learning from industry experts and senior managers who take a keen interest in your growth. In addition to departmental day-to-day activities you'll be involved in real projects that deliver value to our business and customers from the start. These could include preparing and delivering a report to stakeholders, providing solutions for our customers or looking into new business opportunities.
Take a look at our Graduate page and the Business section for more insight into where this Internship could lead.
Where will I be based?
Depending on which team you join, you will be working in one of the following office locations: Birmingham, Fareham, Farnborough, Leeds or Swindon.
