Across Zurich we are keen to recruit talented individuals with high potential and we recognise internships are an excellent way to spot new talent and provide you with real responsibility from day one.
Our 10-week internship programme will give you the opportunity to experience a variety of opportunities, which will help you build career enhancing skills and enable you to make an informed decision about a future career with Zurich. You will have a unique opportunity to work in a real-life business environment gaining invaluable knowledge, skills and experience as well as unrivalled exposure to how a leading multi-national insurance company operates.
You are only eligible to submit one application, so if you are interested in more than one intern programme, please contact us to talk this through before applying.
Our Actuarial Internships will give you a prime opportunity to work in a professional environment and gain practical experience, networking opportunities, as well as the chance to develop your business skills.
As an Actuarial Intern you'll have a pivotal role in our business. After all, you'll be responsible for identifying, analysing and quantifying our financial risk and its consequences. To do this, you'll be shown how to study historical data, assess current risks and create models, to forecast the future. While the work is highly demanding and challenging, if you're a motivated and ambitious person you won't find a better place to prepare for your future career.
What skills will I need?
An analytical approach and a high-level of numerical skills are essential. You'll also need excellent team-working, communication and interpersonal skills.
What will I be doing?
Our actuaries identify, analyse and quantify financial risk and its consequences by studying data, assessing risks and creating models to forecast the effects of commercial decisions. This could see you assisting with product development, providing financial reporting and modelling, or analysing profitability within business segments.
What can I look forward to?
This is your chance to develop while learning from a group of actuaries and analysts, as well as senior members of staff who take an interest in your growth. Working here, you'll be involved in real projects from the start, making an impact to people’s lives with the important work you do. You’ll work alongside a respected team who will support your development and be able to interact with all areas of the business.
Take a look at our Graduate page and the Actuarial section for more insight into where this internship could lead.
Where will I be based?
Depending on which team you join, you will be working in one of the following office locations: Fareham, Farnborough or London.
