Call in Time

Age UK (formerly Help the Aged and Age Concern) is working in partnership on the latest initiative on our Older People programme - A Call in Time.

The programme uses employee volunteers  (including over 100 Zurich employees) who make a regular reassuring and friendly phone call to check the well being of some of the most isolated and lonely older people in our communities.

 

It provides timely support for older people who are at risk, lonely, isolated or frail.  Working with Age UK, the Zurich Community Trust aims to pro-actively transform the quality of life of older people whatever issues they are facing.

Now in its fourth year, the programme received a positive evaluation from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2008 as well as an Award for Innovation from Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).
