Season's greetings and a Happy New Year!

Once again, this year, we send you paperless greetings!  Instead of buying corporate Christmas cards, Zurich the business has made a donation to Zurich's Community Trust - a registered charity.

Our aim is to use money, time and skills donated by Zurich staff, to help the most disadvantaged in our communities achieve an independent future for themselves.   

Above all, we work in partnership with charitable organisations to make a positive difference through innovative grant giving at both a national and local level as well as overseas.

In 2008, our 35th anniversary year, we celebrate:

• Over 540 isolated, older people’s lives enhanced through our volunteer phone befriender service, A Call in Time, run with Help The Aged.
• 2,700 business days of volunteering time donated by Zurich staff 
• Over a third of staff actively involved in Zurich Cares, our community involvement programme.
• 24% of staff giving to charity through Give As You Earn
• 226 parents with drug abuse problems and over 400 family members helped through our Breaking the Cycle programme with Addaction

....... and much, much more! 

As you read this, across the UK, Zurich staff are busy running Christmas appeals to help the less fortunate both on our doorstep and overseas, helping more people to have a happier, and healthier, festive season
