Apply for an Overseas grant

The 2012 grant programme is now open

"We were delighted with the quality and volume of applications received last year," says Sarah Barter, Programme Manager at Zurich Community Trust. She added "With over 70 applications to choose from, we were pleased with the projects we were able to fund."

More about the programme

We fund overseas work in all continents which seek to enable people to address the basic needs of their communities.

All applications must come from UK registered charities.

What we fund

We look for charitable projects which show all or some of the following points:
• Training and skills transfer
• Innovative
• Holistic approach to development
• Cost effective and effective solutions
• Clear objectives and measurable outcomes which can be evaluated

What we don’t fund

We do have limited funds and this means we have to lay down strict criteria for giving and sorry if your project doesn’t fit our criteria but we are unable to do it all!
• Disaster relief or emergency work
• Projects which show any racial, political or religious bias
• Individuals
• Expeditions or study exchanges
• Medical research
• Fundraising events or Appeals
