How staff get involved with the community

Zurich Cares is the unifying banner that captures the spirit of our people's involvement in the community, including the giving of time, professional skills and money to benefit those less fortunate.

There are matching schemes, for employees and financial advisers and their children, for fundraising for charity. 

And if they are Trustees of charities or school Governors, we provide annual grants to those organisations.

Zurich's employees get involved in a number of ways:

• 23% of staff give regularly to charity through a Give As you Earn scheme Payroll Giving Scheme
• Opportunities for staff to fundraise at work 
• Employee led volunteering. Includes annual Challenge, lunchtime volunteering and sharing their skills.
• Donation of gifts - for example, at Christmas and Easter time
• Work in partnership with 17 local, national and overseas charities
• A local grant programme where staff committees award grants to local and overseas projects
