Our grant giving policy has two main strands:
- National programmes – selected to target substantial resources to issues that are often overlooked and where we can have the biggest impact.
- Employee and financial adviser involvement – developing partnerships and making local grants.

Organisations which have benefited from our help include those which support those with dementia, domestic violence victims, carers and mental health patients. |
We research our own programmes, identifying potential partners and areas of work for a medium-term commitment, typically five years.
Many grant giving decisions are also made by our employees and members of the Openwork Foundation. Both groups raise substantial amounts of money for good causes each year.
We encourage our people to decide where the money they raise should go by entering into partnerships and through local charity committees. We give over £500,000 to local communities every year in this way.
