Fundraising

Zurich Community Trust is funded half by the UK businesses and half by generous donations from staff in the UK.

Every penny raised by staff goes to charity as the business picks up the cost for managing the charity, and every penny raised by staff through giving to Zurich Community Trust through Give As You Earn is matched 100% by the business donation - doubling the staff's generosity.  Currently, 23% of Zurich staff take part in this scheme - the national average is just 2% of people who give regularly.

Staff raise over £500,000 each year through regualr giving each month through Give As You Earn, taking part in a monthly Lottery scheme, donating the odd pence from their monthly net pay through the Round Pound scheme and numerous sponsored events and raffles.

Zurich Community Trust is a member of the Fundraising Standards Board.  This is a self regulatory scheme which means that confidence can be had from our fundraising procedures and practices.  Furthermore, should there ever be any cause for a complaint that we will endeavour to deal with it promptly and amicably.
