School anti-arson initiative

Background:

Zurich Municipal developed Arson Combated Together (ACT) together with the Fire and Rescue Services and other arson related organisations. A key element of this was the development of a Teacher's Pack to enable teachers to run a theatre project - Theatre in Education (TIE). The ACT Toolkit

In 2005 the ACT toolkit was given to Fire and Rescue Services, free of charge. It is a project that we have been working on for a number of years, and after a successful pilot and regional launch in Scotland, the infrastructure has been proven to get results. We are very aware that Fire Service and schools are always looking for educational resources, so this appears to be the perfect match.

The project is supported by the National Community Fire Safety Centre, the Arson Control Forum, the Chief Fire Officers’ Association and the Arson Prevention Bureau.

Although there are no extra hardcopies of the Toolkit available, please feel free to download as much of the material on this website to use as you require.
