Fundamental to the ability to provide a high quality education system, is a suitable environment in which we teach our young people and students. It is therefore essential that the design and protection measures for our schools and academy buildings be fully integrated to ensure sustainability and longevity of use.

Each year more than 1300 schools in Englandand Wales alone suffer the ravages of fire.The adverse effect on the education of thestudents from those schools is immense.
