Housing Associations – The big three

Zurich asked housing associations at NHF to share their thoughts on the key issues affecting social housing. Findings from the research show income stream, government and regulation to be the top 3 concerns within the industry today.

Zurich Municipal recently attended one of the biggest housing events in the calendar year, the National Housing Federation Finance Conference. As a key exhibitor at this event, Zurich took the opportunity to ask housing associations for their views on the key issues affecting social housing.

Specifically, housing representatives felt that the lack of grants, loans and funding available for new buildings and other developments is an important area of concern. Those polled also see the regulatory framework and its implications as a key issue and consider a change in government to be another major topic affecting housing associations.

We would like to thank everyone who completed the questionnaire. Zurich Municipal will be using these findings to provide information and services that continue to meet the needs and demands of our customers and housing associations nationwide.

Finally, we would like to announce the winner of our draw, Mr Fred Angole of Gallions Housing Association, who wins a bottle of champagne and a £250 donation to the Haiti appeal.
