This will be revealed at the Risk Management Awards on the 16th November 2011, where Zurich is short listed for Initiative of the Year.
The School and Academy Building Design Guide, is a continuation of Zurich’s ground-breaking work on the design and protection of Education buildings and we are one of the few companies successfully short listed for this year's Business Insurance/Reinsurance Initiative of the Year award.
This award acknowledges the creation of an effective buffer for the economic impact of catastrophic losses and recognises how the sector is responding to risk - in areas ranging from major weather-related losses to infrastructure projects.
Our guide, unique to the market, offers the latest market-leading risk management advice and best practice guidance, to property professionals within the Education arena. It encourages our customers, at design stage, to provide safer, more sustainable and future-proof learning environments for generations to come.
To win this award, the judges need to see fresh thinking ways to eliminate or reduce risk exposures whilst also responding to new and emerging risks - we are hopeful that our guide is judged the best at meeting the criteria.
Zurich has also been short listed for an award under two additional categories: 'Best supply chain risk initiative' and 'Best use of technology in risk management'.
