Autumn’s edition of News and Views is now available to download
The Autumn edition of News and Views will be delivered to customers within the next couple
of days.
As we wave goodbye to a somewhat disappointing summer and see the evenings start to draw in, it seems the perfect time to cheer yourself up with the latest hot topics, news and risk management advice from around the sectors.
In this edition:
- ZM Managing Director Anne Torry discusses the importance of reviewing risk management practices, together with hot off the press news about the risks involved with school visits and information on Zurich’s strengthened Fraud handling team
- We introduce My Community Starter, illustrating how this ground breaking new website may help to make community activities a success
- In “Lessening Leaks”, Graham Page takes a seasonal view and discusses the often costly claims arising from burst pipes
- We explore the risks associated with solid fuel fires and provide important guidance on how these can be managed
- With austerity measures forcing LAs to identify new ways to save money, we explore the advantages and disadvantages of moving to shared premises in “Shared Outcomes, Shared Premises”
- Finally we have Stephen Jones stepping on to our famous Soap Box. Stephen is a Director for the Local Government Ombudsman and takes the opportunity to reflect on the changing face of Local Government and the challenges of his role as an ombudsman.
