Zurich Building Guarantee today announced the winners of its fifth annual awards ceremony held at the Courthouse Kempinski Hotel, London. The awards were presented by Baroness Andrews, Lords Minister for Housing and Planning and were given to companies of all sizes that have excelled in all areas of house building.
“Housing is a very important issue for government, both through its influence on the economy and the way in which it serves the community. The event has brought together key influencers and decision makers from both industry and government to pay tribute to the winners but also to discuss key business issues and the government’s legislative role within the housing industry, said Baroness Andrews.
The national winner of this year’s Zurich Building Guarantee Awards was house builder David Wilson Homes. In addition to the overall award, regional awards and commendations were given for three categories; volume builder, local regional builder and best site.
Entrants were assessed via the results of a questionnaire sent out to Zurich warranty policy homeowners in January, as well as the analysis of site data drawn from Zurich’s site inspections.
“The Zurich Building Guarantee Awards reflect the thoughts of the people that really count, the new homeowners. All the winners had to demonstrate exceptional qualities in service provision as well as raw technical ability. The award is therefore a reflection of their customer focused approach, said Martin Horsler, head of Zurich Building Guarantee.
Information gathered prior to the awards ceremony will also be used by Zurich Building Guarantee to benchmark companies against the national performance of other registered developers. This service is available to all companies registered with Zurich and gives a comprehensive competitor analysis.
A full report, which highlights the key trends in the industry, is published at the end of the year and is available to Zurich's customers.
